Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari, located in the popular Daiba area, opened in 2003 as Tokyo’s first and only onsen (hot springs) theme park. Inside the building, constructed in traditional Japanese style, there are baths fed by natural hot springs pumped from 1,400 meters underground, open-air baths perfect for enjoying fine weather or starry night skies, a foot bath set in a large Japanese-style garden, and plenty of other bathing facilities. There is also a re-creation of a traditional street from the days when Tokyo was called Edo to offer visitors an authentic onsen experience that is sure to be one of the highlights of their trip to Japan.

At Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari, the biggest attraction is two baths brimming with completely natural hot-spring water pumped from a thermal spring 1,400 meters underground. Another five baths, filled with water adjusted to optimum temperatures, are sure to bring physical and mental relaxation for enhanced health and energy. Come and enjoy this unique experience in the heart of Tokyo, by yourself or with family or friends.

There’s much more to Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari than bathing. In fact, there are plenty of things to keep visitors busy all day long: a wide variety of restaurants, traditional amusements such as fortune-telling, quoits, blowgun darts, etc., and Japanese-style full-body and foot massages, not to mention events and entertainment taking place on the premises all the time. There are even accommodation facilities, so visitors can stay overnight to enjoy Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari to their heart’s content and conveniently visit other nearby tourist sites.
