A treat for your eyes and body: Therme Vals is the Peter Zumthor designed spa carved into a mountainside in the Swiss town of Vals. The interior is angular rooms made from strips of local Valser Quartzite. It is so unique, though it only opened in 1996, it is already a protected landmark.
